towns from there. I really liked San Giovanni. You did
a great job.” Gayna, USA

great! In 2 weeks I had limited objectives, but each day
I felt like I was making progress.”

| Drawing
and Painting |
| Halfway between Florence and
Arezzo, not far from Siena, the Valdarno region
is perfectly situated for artistic itineraries.
The Drawing Course (not recommended for Italian
beginners) includes an introduction to (or a review
of) the drawing techniques such as real-life charcoal
drawing using the proportional method and study
of chiaroscuro, and study of real-life composition,
as well as copy from the great masters (portrait
and figure), and study of Tuscan landscape. The
painting course offers the opportunity to learn
the use of watercolor or tempera, with study of
real-life compositions and Tuscan landscape; and
for the most advanced, even the copy from great
masters. Due to the difficulty of watercolor techniques,
the students wishing to study them should have a
good basis of Drawing. Lessons are held in afternoons/evenings
2 times a week for 2 hours. For Drawing
and Painting courses students do not have to speak
Italian because it is practical, not theory.

enough for you to learn how to make typical Italian
dishes and to have fun. Cooking lessons for specific
purposes and for larger groups can be arranged upon
