frescoes, by the Lizza gardens, and in the 13th-century
Cloister of San Domenico, an inspirational setting
for the study of Italian language, art and culture.
As a city of contrasts, you’ll
find calm and tranquility in the hidden back streets
as well as the hectic Palio preparations, race and
celebrations which go on in the main squares for over
half a year. Siena is a small city but has a large
student population (of both Italians and foreigners),
meaning that there are plenty of places to go and
things to do in your free time - from bars and clubs
to restaurants and pizzerias; from theatres and cinemas
to museums and art galleries.

Cultural & Recreational Activities
10-12 hours per week of optional organized
recreational activities include dinners, cocktail parties,
films, guided visits to museums and cultural institutions,
lectures and trips to the countryside and seaside; 1.5
hours per week a teacher holds an Italian lesson in English
to assist beginners that need extra help; 2 afternoons
per week a teacher is available to answer grammatical
questions or to suggest activities students can do to
practice their language skills.

week or 2 weeks and welcomes students of all
ages. It is designed for both beginners and advanced

The area around Bareto has remained unspoiled and
is a wonderful place for walking, particularly during
spring and fall. Part of the main house is occupied
by the owners who recently renovated the house.
There are three holiday apartments: one large unit
of 160 m2 (ground floor) + another unit of 120 m2
(first floor) is in another wing of the main house,
while a smaller unit of 30 m2 can be found in part
of the annex. The three apartments are on the ground
floor. Each apartment has its own outdoor area.
Enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and summer kitchen

in the comfort of a welcoming home. This is a quick,
enjoyable and effective way to develop your skills.
In addition, you’ll experience day to day
Italian family life. Lessons are developed according
to your needs, age, level, and interests. The beautiful
Etruscan city of Viterbo, with its ancient walls
and reminders of medieval times, is not far from
Rome and many important Etruscan centers, and the
sea. Choose 20 or 25 hours: a General Italian program,

of the breath-taking Chianti countryside, indulge

people of the same level and with the same linguistic
aims. These mini-groups, ideal for people studying
business Italian and working for the same company,
