Montréal is the second largest
French speaking city in the world and is home to a
multitude of different cultures-the perfect place
for a French-Canadian cultural immersion experience!
Study French or English in the heart of Old Montréal
along the majestic St. Lawrence River. Montréal
is ideal for those who want to study language and
experience the culture of Québec while visiting
the city and the surrounding area. Nature is also
a big part of life for Montrealers. Mount Royal Park
in the center of the city has many bicycle paths,
lookouts over the city, and like all the green spaces
in the city, is a place where people can relax and
enjoy. In winter, skating, cross-country skiing, and
tobogganing are a few of the many possibilities. If,
however, you like to keep warm in the winter, Montréal
also has an extended “underground” city
of nearly 30 km (19 miles) with major department
stores, hotels, restaurants, movie theatres, concert
halls and much more. Montréal is also a city of festivals:
International Fireworks Competition, the Grand Prix
of Canada (Formula 1 Racing), the International Jazz
festival in late June to early July, the Just For
Laughs Festival, and the World Film Festival. And
if you’d like outdoor adventure combine language
study with skiing or snowboarding, a wilderness adventure,
or a nature tour.
Study French or English in the heart of Old Montréal
less than a five-minute walk from the Stock Exchange
and subway stop. This area is one of Montréal’s
most popular tourist centers because of its European
flavor. Along the 300- year-old cobblestone streets,
you will find many interesting shops, restaurants,
and museums. Next to the school, along St-Lawrence
River, is the park of the Old Port, which offers year-round
activities
